[Kimono Day support store ①] TV coverage! To the popular kimono shop "Kimonoya Sara"

This time I rented a kimono at “Kimonoya Sara”.
It is a 1-minute walk from Renkeiji, one of Kawagoe's sightseeing spots.

“Kimonoya Sara” is a popular store that has received many TV interviews.
One of popular rental kimono shops in Kawagoe.

Because you love kimonos, you can rent gems that are selected by owners who have collected more than 300 kimonos.

You can rent handbags, sandals, and accessories with total coordination, so it’s OK to come in with your hands free.

This time we rented kimonos for walking around the city, but they are also able for Shichigosan, adult ceremonies and weddings.

“Kimonoya Sara” has wide range of Kimono!
There are many things that can not be found in regular shops, and it seems that they change the kimonos to be offered every season.

Kimonos are carefully selected by the owner who is a connoisseur.
Kimonos that are at reasonable prices are neat.

Other customers who visited the store on this day said that they chose this store because they wanted to wear silk kimonos.

As you can see, there are quite a few types of belts alone. So many kinds to choose.

Of course, the shop will give you advice, and if you say "I want to wear this kind of kimono", you’ll get some options.

The cat-patterned kimono was so cute, so I chose it this time.
Then the shop gave me a few of these cat-patterned belts.

This time, I even coordinated cat on the sandals.

I don't usually wear kimono at all.
I was anxious because I’m not used to wearing it, but thanks to great dressing skills, I felt it was easier than I expected.

On top of that, there was a feeling of excitement that “it was a special occasion”, and I felt really excited.
If you stop by on a date, I think it will be a memorable day just to get dressed like this.

“Kimonoya Sara” where we rented kimonos this time, they divide the rental price of the city walking course according to the kimono grade.

The price ranges from about 2,000 yen to 10,000 yen.
The most popular one seems to be from 3,000 yen to 4,000 yen.

[Kimono Day support store ②] “Mie Coco”, a Viennese cuisine and cat restaurant you can enjoy in Kawagoe

Experience the Kawagoe Kimono Day! The recommended spot for kimono rental & walk around

Not because the kimono is a cat .... but we had lunch at Mie Coco for lunch, located in a quiet alley in Kuranomachi.

The name of the store comes from owner's beloved cat.
Like the logo, there are a lot of cats inside and outside the store.

The owner was studying music in Vienna.
He said that he opened Mie Coco because “he wanted Japanese people to enjoy the Viennese cuisine that was amazing there”.

When you sit down, you feel like you're in a Vienna cafe.
Nevertheless, it was a calm and warm shop and very cozy.

The restaurant's recommended menu is “Schnitzel”, a Viennese cutlet.
A piece of pork that has been thinly cut and butchered, with a Viennese-style flour and fried in butter.
Let’s eat it with lemon.

Compared to Japanese cutlets, it is less greasy and easy to eat, flour is crispy so you can eat more and more.
Still, you can get a full feeling from the way it looks, so it might be popular with men.
It was delicious!

Austrian savory bread “Semmel” is also light and crisp and easy to eat.
This was also delicious after all.

In addition to Schnierzel, Mie Coco has a variety of menus, including original curry and Zwivel roasted braten (Vienna steak).

What are Mie Coco's “Kawagoe Day” benefits?

Mie Coco is not the only restaurant with kimono benefits.
Kawagoe's pudding specialty store, “Kawagoe Pudding”, is one of them.

The store makes handmade puddings made from carefully selected domestic ingredients one by one.
A luxurious pudding that can only be found here.

Extra Montblanc-style cream on with “Kawagoe Kimono Day”!

The service provided from Kawagoe Pudding on “Kawagoe Kimono Day” is extra Montblanc-style cream, the topping of “Purin Soft”.

“Mont Blanc” has a very sweet image.
However, Kawagoe Pudding's Mont Blanc uses Kawagoe Kawagoe sweet potato instead of chestnuts, so it has a moderate sweetness.

This is the normal size soft pudding.

“Kocha Romankan Shimano” is a cafe, tea specialty that you should definitely visit on “Kawagoe Kimono Day”.
It is next to the “Mameya Koedo Kawagoeten”, which is a lively tasting shop at a store located next to Renkeiji.

Kocha Romankan Shimano is a historic cafe.
As it is now, the store has been set up in the present location even before various shops increase in the town.

For me, when I thought about drinking tea in Kawagoe, it was one of the shops that first came to mind.

This time I ordered Golden Assam. Wait until all the hourglass falls and pour tea into the cup.

Enjoy the sweets with “Kawagoe Kimono Day benefits”!

A variety of goods are sold in flea market, but the kimono shop is the highlight.
In addition to kimonos, there were many obi, haori, and other accessories.

Any product is pretty reasonable anyway. 1,000 yen for 3 kimonos is amazing!

There were several kimonos for Shichigosan for children.
Since Shichigosan's costumes are not worn many times, it is recommended to have a complete set at such from flea market if there is something that fits.

There is also a cute mascot shop.
It seems to be handmade one by one, and it is nice to have various facial expressions.

It will be a unique souvenir from Koedo Kawagoe like.

If you want to take a walk in Kawagoe with kimono, “Kawagoe Kimono Day” is a great deal

I actually experienced “Kawagoe Day” and felt that “wearing kimono is nothing special”.
The price was also reasonable, so I would like to rent a kimono again and wear it at events other than adult ceremonies and events such as Shichigosan.

Also, I was surprised that the service of “Kawagoe Kimono Day” was more profitable than expected.
In addition to the shops introduced this time, you can receive benefits and services at various sponsored shops, so please make sure to utilize them.
